MARC RANCY ORDERING INFORMATION

1) How do I go order a custom-made wedding gown or other custom formal wear?

a) International/Out-of-Town Orders

  • Please take your measurements (see measurement guides below), a full body picture and close up shot of yourself and send them all to us.
  • If you have something in mind, please e-mail us a picture or sketch of a particular design. If you do not have one, please try to describe it as best you can. If you are selecting something that you have seen on our site, please just include that picture.
  • We will email you three rough design sketches for your gown or formalwear based on your body type and the description or photo you provided.
  • If you’d like to order any of the design choices, we will need a 50% down payment of the price we quote you in the email. We will send you via air courier a full rendering of your chosen design and fabric swatches for you to choose from. From the swatches, choose one and inform us of your choice by email.
  • Within two weeks, we’ll send you your sloper, or trial garment, for you to fit. Mark your desired changes and send it back. You may want to bring it to a tailor or just have a family member help you. If everything is fine, then just email us with that information.
  • After we have received you changes, we’ll create your garment and send it to you by air courier again.

b) Local Orders

  • Visit the shop with your imagination at full mode.
  • It would help if you could show the designer some pictures or scans of the dresses you like. This would help the designer know what kind of bride you are, and what styles you like best.
  • Although we have flexible payment schemes, be open to discuss to your designer your budget. Don't be shy to open up - discussing the financial side of the whole dress plays a vital role if the designer is for you or not. It would also save your much valued time.
  • Then you and the designer will now be able to talk about your very own wedding gown to determine the right shade, silhouette and beadwork.
  • He will then present to you a rough sketch of your custom-made wedding gown.
  • Once confirmed, we will now be ready to take your measurements. You will be notified when the sloper is ready for your fitting.
  • As soon as the sloper is fit, we shall then start making your dream wedding gown.

2) I already have a design in mind for my wedding gown. Can you execute my chosen design for me?

Yes. We are open to working with any designs and we will do our best to render it faithfully, while keeping in line with the Marc Rancy aesthetic.

3) How long does it take to have a wedding gown, tuxedo or other custom clothing made?

This depends on how intricate the design is, although normally international orders will take a minimum of (3) three months and a maximum of (6) six months, including the multiple shipments back and forth. Local orders will likely take less time.

4) How do we ensure a good fit for my wedding gown?

Two weeks after you make your design and fabric selections, a sloper (a muslin representation of your garment) is sent to you. This comes with thread, marker pens and a tape measure. You put on the sloper in front of a mirror, make the minor adjustments (such as making a neckline deeper or higher) and send it back. We use this as the basis for cutting the actual fabric of your gown.

5) What are the payment terms for ordering my wedding gown, tuxedo or formal wear?

We require 50% down payment for the entire order and the balance prior to shipping out the garment. You, the customer, will bear the cost of the air shipment at cost with no markup. You can pay via Western Union or Bank Transfer. Cashier’s Checks or PayPal are accepted for orders originating in the United States only. We do not currently accept credit cards for mail orders, although if you are in Manila you have the option to avail our 0% installment plan to any of our services availed exceeding $2,000.00.

6) Aside from wedding gowns, can I also order custom made outfits for the rest of my wedding entourage? What about formal wear for other occasions?

Yes! In addition to lovely wedding gowns, we create tuxedos for the groom and his entourage, bridesmaids’ dresses, flower girl gowns, outfits for the mother-of-the-bride and groom. We can even make special occasion outfits for the guests, as well as most any other custom couture you can imagine. Let us help you craft the perfect look for any occasion.

7) What is your return policy?

Since all of our gowns, tuxedos, and other outfits are custom made and not mass produced, we can not accept returns. All orders are made exclusively for the customer. Once you have submitted your final markings, your order is considered final and cannot be canceled. To do so will cause you to forfeit your deposit. However, this is why we work with you to ensure that your garment fits you perfectly at the time of measurement, and we offer you the opportunity for adjustments prior to finalizing your measurements and beginning the cutting of your gown.

8) What is the advantage of ordering my wedding gown from you instead of just buying a ready-made wedding gown from a local store?

First and foremost, you are getting a one-of-a-kind bridal gown designed exclusively for you! This means you will not find another gown like yours anywhere in the world. Most stores, especially bridal chain stores, carry bridal gowns that are mass-produced. Even most high-end fashion designers create wedding gowns in various sizes and simply alter it to fit your body. With Marc Rancy, your entire gown is made from scratch just for you!

9) What is the normal investment for your wedding gowns?

For International Orders, our gowns start at around $1,500 (US) and up, depending on the complexity of the design and the fabric selected. For local orders, please see our Wedding Packages Rates. Other items are priced separately, and can be quoted to you individually. Please ask us about your specific desires and we will give you a fair and final quotation.
